Happy Birthday! 12 today!!!

My  youngest son is 12 today!!! He has a Marks and Spencer’s double chocolate fudge cake waiting on my kitchen table for when he arrives home from school!

He is competing in the school Football trails till 5 tonight and has requested that we have KFC for tea, followed by this cake!!! He has worked so hard at school the past year, he came top of the school in the Sats results in July, so i think he deserves to be spoilt this birthday!! :)

Yoga, Yoga, Yoga

Due to spending too much time on the computer, through work and of course my blogging obsession, I seem to have given myself a very stiff neck and shoulder!! :(

In an attempt to remedy this problem, I have taken up Yoga again!  I have bought myself a yoga matt, £3.99 from Home Bargains and I have located the Yoga channel on Sky, Its called Body and Balance channel on no:275 and it has some great yoga programmes on! :)

I have also enjoyed watching Esther Eckark on U tube, she has several videos  - yogatic, I especially liked the neck sessions!

I used to practice Yoga when I was at  Uni.

It helped with stress; is really relaxing; helps keep Blood pressure down and of course keep you supple!! ( well, a girl can dream can’t she,  lol !)

Saturday Kitchen!

    tweet twoo!!!

Lately, I have become a massive fan of Saturday Kitchen presented by James Martin at 10 O’ clock every Saturday morning on BBC 1.

I think there are several reasons for this; James Martin is fab and of course he is from ‘up North’ and really down to earth. I love to hear about his Mum’s and his Grandmother’s recipes!!

Another reason is that they have different Guess chefs on and also they show 1/2 hour every week of different cooks and chefs, from their own series’, so that there is plenty of variety!

Nigella’s Express is often featured, but this week it was Rick Steins turn!  He made this fab pasta dish, which looked quite easy to make /food/recipes/database/pastitsiobeefandmaca!  It looked like a lasagna, but made with pasta penne….. I am definitely placing it on next weeks menu plan!!
