Comfort soup for rainy days!!

The look on our Black labs face says it all today, we have had almost constant rain, since we arrived back from Spain last week!! Typical British weather!!! sigh….. It is that dark and glommy  that most of the lamps are on our in house, (so much for energy saving?)

Hubby has declared it an ‘Offical Bed Day’. Ds2 and him are upstairs playing on xbox360 Halo 3!! I have ventured downstairs with our dog, but not much is happening, as she is having her morning nap!!

 

To turn a negative into a postive, at least the garden does not need watering!!!

 

 

My Best friend and cousin in law is coming round at 12.30, she has made us  some  comfort food– tomato and lentil soup. recipe here   pennypincherspantry.wordpress -ali’s soup! we are all great friends, as well as being cousins and I am really looking forward seeing her and eating lunch!!!

edited:—- the soup! Ali added carrots and potatoes to it and it was really filling, healthy, low gi food !!  

We had a great lunch and its has certainly cheered us up!
