Jamie Oliver’s Home made pasta

 pasta-jamie.jpg

I really enjoyed watching Jamie Oliver make pasta in his ‘Jamie at Home’ series on Thursday night. I have bought his book and its great.

From his show and his book, here is the recipe for home made pasta

220 grams of plain flour

2 organic eggs

place the flour on a chopping board, make a circle in the middle of the flour and crack both eggs into the middle and mix.

With your hands kneed together until it’s  sticks together and then put through a pasta machine, make any kind of  pasta recipe with this. I am going to try lasange first time I think!!

Note: I have priced Marks and Spencer, fresh egg pasta tallegtelli (sp) and its £1.29 for a small bag compared to the price of two eggs and 200g of plain flour, making your own is much cheaper!

  1. Didn’t he put a pinch of salt and some olive oil in too?
