I wanna!

nightday_cream_569.jpg

For the past week I have been searching every Aldi shop in the area for this cream, apparently it’s fab and stops wrinkles forming and also repairs those already present. ( its contains antioxidants and q10)

It was voted best cream in a blind study and is as good as some very expensive ones. It costs just £1.89 a pot, but it’s very hard to get hold of at the moment. Here’s what the celebs said about it:

“In the Sunday Mirror’s Celebs on Sunday 2008 Beauty Survey, our Siana Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream (£1.89, 50ml) was the winner out of three under £20 mass market anti-ageing creams tested. Our cream received high praise from testers: “I was asked if I’d had a facial, my skin looked so fresh. I think it must be expensive”; “My skin feels firmer, brighter and refreshed”.

Aldi  also do a fantastic Anti-wrinkle Night Cream (£1.89, 50ml).

The Sun reported: Two thousand volunteers blind-tested the day cream for another magazine and voted it one of the most effective complexion smoothers. ‘I was asked if I’d had a facial,’ one enthused. ‘I think it must be expensive.’

At the beginning of the year, 890 jars a week were being sold nationwide at Aldi. Now more than 20,000 a week are being packed into trolleys, with dozens of branches selling out.

Manufacturers say the cream includes all the same ingredients as more expensive potions, including the enzyme Q10, which mimics the body’s ability to protect against premature aging.

The night version includes retinol complex to stimulate cell growth.

Aldi’s cream follows the success of the £17 Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum which was a sell-out last year.

I have gotta have some of this!!

Best Friends!

thank.jpg

I have been on holiday all week with ds2, its half term, so we have been doing some major chillin!  I have recharged my batteries and must say this morning, I am full of the joys of spring!  I have pottered around in my kitchen all week and tided as I went along. I still have a list of jobs that needs to be done, but hey, that always the case isn’t??

My best friend’s hubby came last weekend and very kindly fitted a new bathroom suite for us, it is just plain white and crome, but compared to the 1970’s avocado suite we have suffered for the past 13 years, this new one is utter bliss!! We were able to buy the suite with our Christmas money from the in-laws, so thanks to them also!

So I want to thank, Chris, who is very generous, as he did not charge us anything, he was here all weekend ! He is a first class plumber!      There are some lovely people in the world and he and my best friend are definitely some of them. When we get paid I plan to take us all out for a meal, as a way of saying thank you !

Happy Birthday!!

It’s my oh’s 39th birthday today!!!    birthday39thumb.jpg

We woke up early and I gave him a mini hamper ( his big pressie is money!)

Ds2 gave him a little pressie, bought out of his own pocket money! ds2 then proceeded to blow up about 100 birthday balloons and filled the whole bedroom with them!!! The dog got very excited (she loves birthday’s and Christmas’), she spent about a hour running round with a box in her mouth!!!

Oh has gone of to work now and the dog is bushed, she is flat out, snoring on the bed!!!

It is very cold and foggy here today, everything is covered in ice and looks beautifull, but is very cold, brrr! I am presently snugged up with pink blankie on top of the bed with laptop on bed tray! I don’t intend to go far today, it is far too cold. I have a portion of curried parsnip soup from Sunday, leftover to eat for lunch and ds2 wants egg and soliders!!

the pink bubble technique

pink-simple.jpg

Last week after reading the article in the times online, about the top ten most inspiring reads, I bought ‘Creative Visualization’ by Shakti Gawain. Well, what a fantastic book! It’s packed full of techniques you can utilise, bascially it shows us how to visualise a change that you would like to happen in your life, then goes through step by step how to achieve it!!

My favourite technique, so far is called ‘the pink bubble technique’ taken from Gawain’s book page 98

” Sit lie down comfortably, close your eyes and breathe deeply, slowly and naturally. Gradually relax deeper and deeper.

Imagine something that you would really like to happen. Imagine that it has already happened.

Picture it as clearly as possible  in your mind.

Now in your minds eye, surround your fantasy with a pink bubble; put your goal inside your bubble. Pink is the colour associated with the heart and if this colour vibration, surrounds whatever you visualise, it will bring to you what is perfect affinity with your being.

The third step is to let go of your bubble and imagine it floating of into the universe, still containing your vision. This symbolises that emotionally you are ‘letting go’ of it. Now it is free to float  around in the universe, attracting and gathering energy for its manifestation!!

This really does work, last week after I quit work, I tried this, I visualised going back to my old job and magically its has worked!! :) I will be using the pink bubble again!

Can I have my old job back pleaseeee??

 work_life.jpg

I have had such a strange week!  I started my new job last week and I only spent two days there. It was terrible and very stressful. The whole team seemed to be in crisis mode and chaos prevailed! Even hubby told me to quit, so after much fretting and worrying I did, I quit! I was very relieved, but began worrying that I would not get another job!!!

After being off for two days, I got a phone call from my old boss, who is totally lovely, she asked me to go back! I felt awfull because they all bought my leaving pressies just two weeks ago! I am going in on Monday morning  to sign another contract and then I will go back when ds2 goes back to school on the 25th!

To say I am relieved, is an understatement :)
