A Thousand Splendid Suns! Unputdownable!!
I bought a really good book yesterday, it’s ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’ by khaled Hosseni and I have already read up to Chapter 15!!! I watched a book review on it last week, it’s was featured on Richard & Judy, Summer reads for 2008. I totally agree with what they were saying about it, I can’t put it down, I had cried twice by page 58, (quite something for me, as I am not a cryer!)
I had to stop reading it last night, as Oh wanted us to watch ’World Trade Centre’ and then I was that moved by the film, I cried more??? In fact I felt that much for the New Yorkers, that I cried the whole last hour of the film! So both book and film are recommended, but have a box of tissues ready

I think I’ve heard of that book. I have so many books I want to read, but it takes me forever to get through one, especially now with reading blogs. LOL

I agree with april wine, now I’m reading blogs I have hardly any time for any other cultural activities. There are so many books I want to read but I just don’t have time but I get the odd book on tape to hear while driving.
I admit I’ve heard of that book and ‘The Kite Runner’ but I thought it was called ‘a thousand splendid sons’. I’m not buying any books this year so I’ll wait for it to appear at the library. Also saw a bit of that film as we’ve had a weeks free upgrade on sky but I thought I’d end up crying so I didn’t watch very much of it -chickened out.
