Boxing Day Broth

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas Day yesterday?? 

 We had a quiet one, which is just the way we like it! Nigella’s glazed gammon was fab, a big hit with all and I shall be making that again!!

For Boxing Day Lunch,  I have just made a huge pot of Turkey Broth and it was lovely. It should feed us for two more days!

 Here is the recipe:  

Boil the turkey or meat carcass in a big pan, add 2 stock cubes, chop up all left over veg, including sprouts and I also added cut up sausauge meat.

After about one hour, remove Turkey and strip off meat, add the meat back into broth and season salt/pepper and garlic granuales!

Serve with freshly made home made bread in Denby lidded soup bowls! Perfection! ( or so my hubby commented)

    Your broth looks lovely, I will do that tomorrow as we only had our turkey today but first I’ll strip some meat off for curry, we do have loads of sprouts to use up somehow.

    thanks, yes i love the snow as well, very festive, it’s on here till 2nd Jan. I put sprouts in my broth yesterday, but did not tell oh as he hates them. He ate and didn’t notice the sprouts!!!

    have you been on mse much??

    I have lurked on MSE lately as I can’t seem to be able to make posts anymore, don’t know what’s wrong but I’m on holiday now so I have time to sort it out (not very techie to say the least). I badly need to get on the DFW board, oops!
