Christmas hamper ideas - Old style

We had a storm blow over last night, we woke this morning to very blustery cold rainy weather, yuk!  Although the weather is horrid, I still have been out all afternoon Christmas shopping. This year I have decided that everyone is going to receive a hamper.  I have come up with a couple of different ideas and each person will receive a personalised hamper. I have been to Dunelm Mill and bought the baskets, £2.00 each and then went to our local supermarket and purchased the contents! They are not finished yet as I need to buy some celeophane and tinsel to decorate each one.   

Here are a few ideas: 

 Gardening lovers hampers: mini  trowel  and fork;  some bulbs; an apron;  a bottle of muscle soak; a tube of hand cream and a pair of gardening gloves.

Organic lover - Fill with anything organic / free range, green chocolate etc… Tesco have a great range of organics 

Computer nerd - mouse mat, novelty mouse, a usb gadget from ebay like a coffee warmer, make your calender for them to hang in thier office! 

Football supporters - beer and beer mug /item of club merchandise like hat scarf/whistle, flag and  a ball

Wine Lover -  Thier favorite wine; Holder; wine bottle candle; wine thermometer; wine charms and  wine glasses

Going out or staying in - include items like a dvd, popcorn, maltesses; bottle or can of coca cola  and bath things for staying in, going out - make up/perfume/jewellery/coin purse

Winter warmer hamper: fleecy throw, glove and scarf set,  beanie to heat in micowave,  fluffy slippers; a  mug, hot chocolate sachet, wisk, marshmallows and a candle.

Whiskey lovers hamper: a bottle of thier favourite whiskey; a hip flask; a whiskey glass, a book about whiskey and some chocolates

 Italian Food lovers hamper:   a jar of pesto, spaghetii,  a bottle of extra virgin olive oil, breadsticks;  a jar of sun dried tomatoes, a tool for serving spaghetti. 

Luxury set for Christmas day Box coffeee pods (Dou Egberts); a box Choclate truffles and 2 small bottles Cava-

Coffee lovers hamper:  a pack of fresh cofffe; a pack of coffee beans;three walnuts whips; some cookies: some chocolate biscuits  and small expresso cup

Hot food lovers: a bottle of extra hot peri peri sauce; a pack of nobbies chilli nuts; a jar of jalapenos peppers, Chilli Jelly, Chilli Beer, chilli chocs, fresh/pickled chillis, choizo or pepperoni, and if i can find some socks with chillis on them too. (my hubby would love this one!!!)

Quiz hamper: puzzle books, sudoku book; crosswords; word searches, pens, pencils, highlighters, bag of sweeties. (good for Grans &  Grandpa’s)

 Luxury pamper hamper: a selection of bubble baths, bath bombs; wash mit; a book; pair of fluffy slippers, a small bottle of cava with glass; and a box of luxury chocolates.

Girls night in hamper: a chick flick (depends on age, ie: if in their 30’s/40′ something like Bridget Jones Dairy), popcorn, coca cola, foot spa treatment, facial pamper treatments, some candles, some p’js and slippers and a selection of  magazines.

Indain Food lovers hamper: a selection of essential indian spices; a pack of pomadoms and dips; curry pastes selection; some silver serving balti dishes and an indian cook book.

  1. Really great idea, the kind of present I’d love to receive.
    When you but ready made hampers at the shops they look chock full but delve down and it’s all padding. Yours look lovely and a thoughtful present.
