Rock with Nigella’s Roquemole!! Guitar Hero II
Hubby just bought himself Guitar Heros II for the x box 360, arghhhhh!!! I suppose it will keep them amused?? Actually, I have had just had a quick go and it’s brillant , but highly addictive!!!!
With all this rocking going on, the boys need some food for supper tonight to rock to……
So Nigella’s Roquemole will hit the spot, me thinks :0 I have all the ingredients in my pantry, but one, the blue tortilla’s never heard of them before, will use carrots, radishes, snap peas and melba toast instead. Does anyone know where you buy those blue chips from???
1 cup crumbled Roquefort or Saint Agur blue cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
2 ripe avocados
1/4 cup sliced pickled green jalapeños from a jar
2 tablespoons finely sliced scallions (spring oniuns)
1/4 teaspoon paprika
large bag of blue corn tortilla chips
1. Crumble or mash the blue cheese with the sour cream in a bowl.
2. Mash in the avocados. If they are ripe, a fork should be all you need.
3. Roughly chop the sliced jalapeños and stir them into the mixture along with the finely sliced scallions.
4. Arrange in the center of a plate or dish, dust with paprika, and surround with tortilla chips. Dive in.

HI there, I know i’ve seen blue tortilla chips somewhere but I can’t remember when.. no help!
I was wondering, what is supper? Nigella uses it like posh people do meaning dinner but me being common, supper means a snack before bed usually something like cinnamon toast and hot chocolate.
hi nodwah,
how’s it going? I am so glad mse is back up! To us,supper is a snack with have after tea on a night, in my case, normally with a glass of wine
I’m in usa but we find them here in health food stores like Trader Joes.
cheers Kat, I will have a look in our local health food shop
Hello-
Supper in the US is what my grandparents (farmers) called the evening meal. “Dinner” was their word for lunch.
As far as blue tortillas, they’re fairly common here in the US- I imagine you could order them online. I’d try amazon.com first. I get my Italian parm from them.
I enjoy your site immensely- keep up the good work!
