Halloween party—Food ideas

halloween.jpg

I am just compiling next week’s menu plan and it’s exactly a week today to halloween!!!  I have been trying to think of penny pinching halloween food, it’s got to be cheap, as I am trying to stretch out our food budget till we get our salaries next week! Here are some of my ideas, my 11 year old son is getting really excited!!   I think we will eat first, then just as it’s getting dark we are going to watch a really scary dvd!!!

mini pizzas - cooked scabs
mini sausages - dead mans fingers
cheese puffs - well there are orange so go with halloween
egg sandwiches - chopped up brains in bread
tomatoe ketchup - blood of course
use liquorice laces to make spiders webs on cakes

Warlocks wands - Chicken satay sticks
Vampire soup - Red pepper & tomato soup
Hounds of hell - Either chilli or curry
Witches fingers - Cocktail sausages
Gremlin balls - Melon balls
Creepy cakes - Fairy cakes
Goblins bones - Chicken drumsticks

Ghostly Goulash— see my goulash recipe

  Drinks:   Bugs Blood:

Mix 1 litre of cranberry juice into a jug with 250ml of orange juice. Top with lemonade or sparkling water.
